I had fallen fast asleep last night playfully replaying Kanye West’s “The Good Life” over and over in my head. I thought to myself, “Wow, this right here, is the good life. After months of speculation that the world was ignorant and would surely let 50 Cent win in the battle of the hip hop titans, that belief was kindly put to rest after Kanye clearly was the victor on Tuesday’s releases.”
But, then I woke up. I turned on my computer. I looked at my iTunes preparing to once again overkill “Stronger” and what did I see? Under top albums, 50 Cent’s “Curtis” is number 1. How did this happen after 2 full days of Kanye at the top?
My guess is that come next week, when we find out who the number 1 seller is, 50 Cent (that wirey little scamp) and his team is going to have already bought up many of his albums that didn’t sell to put him over the edge. This goes for buying up iTunes songs too.
So America, I call you to duty, go and pick up 10 Kanye West albums today (along with the new Hot Hot Heat!), distribute them to your friends, loved ones, and even your pets. We all benefit from a little more Kanye and a little less 50. Let’s put our money where our mouth is and show America that we want more music like Kanye.
I have some illegally downloaded copies of “Curtis” if anyone would like one.

I bought Kanye the day it came out. I made two friends go with me and they ended up buying it too.
Someone really likes Kanye over 50! No doubt Kanye is way ahead of the game, but I have to be fair buy both of their albums.

This is the most haterade comment Ive read about the subject…..Why do we need more kanye and less 50.?…I dont understand…like kanye is some sort of hip hop god and 50 is just a nobody…No I dont think 50 has ever been a dope Mc. he does what he does how he choose to do it….I dont know about you but I grew up on the new york thug shit, and that west coast gangsta shit…and all the old school/electro etc…..I keeps music wit me….And I dont really see a difference in what 50 raps about and what black moon may have rapped back then…..he does it his way….But yeah i hate those wack ass singin hooks too….but yo 50 got some hard shit dont front…..Hip hop is too pussy these days……shoot em up….BTW the kanye album is cool but that shit aint in no way better then his first 2….it kinda lacks energy to me……It got some shit on it though….Stronger is too much of a bite.IMO….drnk and hott girls,homecoming,big brother,The Good Life, those the 1’s Im feelin.-Peace

commenting about u saying stronger is too much of a bite, thats what sampling is called…which is what 80percent of what hiphop is about..i mean 50’s THUG shit…I GET MONEY is sampled from MILK DEE…which is actually one of the more sampled songs in hip hop….thats why its crazy when kanye sampled DAFT PUNK?..WHO DOES that in HIPHOP…I do agree that Dan Aka Dan’s post is a bit one sided…i personalyl don’t care for both..hahaaha
