Watch out Justin, Se7en is in town.
Just incase you’ve never heard of Se7en, he is the hottest act in all of Asia.
A video speaks a million words, so check it out.
Working with Mark Shimmel, Grammy-winner Rich Harrison, and Noize Trip Production (produced The Black Eyed Peas’ Disco Club), you know this album is gonna be hot. FM (Far East Movement) and Three 6 Mafia has also been reported to participate in Se7en’s English debut album as well. Darkchild has produced his first single called “Them Girls”.
Se7en is also an amazing dancer. Check him out in “Passion”.
Do we hear Justin vs Se7en anytime soon?
Awhile back I got to see an early screening of “Your Name Here”. I went to the screening not knowing what to expect, turns out I got to see a movie and travel back in time. “Your Name Here” captures the nervous energy all teenage bandsters go through and wraps it around a good time.
It’s going to be screening at the Downtown Film Fest so be there!
This film is appropriate for:
Peeps who make music
Peeps who have kids
Peeps who have kids who make music
Peeps who love SIlverlake
Peeps who like to laugh.
No one else though, really.

Hey guys heads up before this goes down.
Brand New Guns N Roses track.
This is the first official release from the new album (going to be in the Rock Band 2 game).
It leaked today and they’re pulling the leaks like crazy.
Shackler’s Revenge
Get it while it’s hot.
I know Pandora has been up for a while… but people STILL don’t know about it! I’ve been telling people about it for about 4 years now, before it has advertisements up and when their library was slim. The first thing I loved about it was the non-invasive advertising. The music continues to play without bullshit.
In my opinion, Pandora Radio is the best free internet radio available. Especially if you’re into discovering new music. I guess I’m a little obsessed. If you are into music, this is something you should use. It uncovers great new musicians/artists that have been hidden behind all of the mass media campaigns for superstars.
If you like a song, it’ll add more like it.
(by genre, key, and even BPM!)
If you don’t like it, you can banish it from your playlist without affecting other songs.
It’s simple and it’s FREE.
Freakin’ genius.
I somehow ended up at the La Brea Tar Pits Friday night, and good thing I did. I knew some sort of event was going on but wasn’t prepared for the sheer weirdness of the experience. On 8.08.2008, 88 drummers played simultaneously for over 88 minutes. Lead by Legendary Japanese Noise rock band, The Boredoms, the ensemble played an incredible set. My favorite part was when the group started playing crescendos on their symbols. It sounded like ocean waves crashing in the distant.

1. La Brea Tar Pits, stand up! 2. 1, 2, 3… yup, 88 drummers.
I’m a big fan of those “holy shit, is that real” kind of videos.
For example, the breakdancer kicking the kid running out into the dance circle, the dynamite that was thrown into the river causing a wave for a surfer to ride on, or the new video by JUSTICE.

Directed by French director, Romain Gavras, “Stress” is shot in the burroughs of Paris, no different from Paris J’Te Aime, except, in Gavras’ work, you won’t find much love, but the polar opposite.
The video depicts a gang of juveniles, images conjuring a bit of the Outsiders, traveling throughout their day and creating havoc throughout the city, and stress for their victims, and strangely enough, emoting through the screen into the rising bpm of your heart. You feel sympathetic to the victims, then you cross that once thought of as impenetrable binary line into the multifarious world of good and bad; do you begin to care about the gang themselves and fear for them not being caught? Anxiety, frustration, anger, and sympathy mounts.
A bit stressful I’d say.
It’s an absolutely beautiful piece of work, conveying the song’s theme and mechanics…but is it real or is it staged?
