It’s already been one year since our launch back in September 1st 2007.
We can’t wait to show you what we have in plans for this year.
Changes..
Coming real soon.

I Love Feel Good Fusion! I’ll also do some live artwork, so come on out and say hello.

Haha! Check out this music video “The Old Prince Still Lives at Home” by Shadrach Kabango.
You might remember this from opening theme of Will Smith’s “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”.

Just got back from Vegas (will post my adventures later) but had to post this up for now. Whenever I’m coming back home on the 10 I go up La Brea. I spotted this the other day and couldn’t get over the genius of the piece:

Now I’m actually not for either camps at this point (my choice didn’t make the cut… rEVOLution!), but whether you’re supporting McCain or Obama, you have to admire this piece of work.
*The posters can be seen on the west side of La Brea just north of San Vincente.
For all the SD people that read this blog, afterschoolspecial ent. just started a new monthly Art/Open Mic/Performance explosion. In the vein of Feel Good Fusion and Tuesday Night Cafe, Funky Rhythms combines local muscians and artists and gives them a chance to collaborate and share their work.
Last Thursday, Aug 21, they held their opening night (sponsored by Future Rockstars of America)
Featured artists were Chris Legaspi, Anne, and Nicole.(Anne was rocking a FR*A shirt. Also, they had to develop art around the FR*A logo- as featured below)
Performances included:
Concrete Project
Terry Matsuoka

Next event is tentative, but we’ll be sure to update you on the when’s and what’s.
Personally I could use a good alibi on Monday about the weekends debauchery. Blaming inebriation for the errors in judgment just isn’t cutting it anymore. I don’t know what excuses Monday’s Alibi would need but they certainly don’t need an excuse to rock out.

My excuse to rock out with these guys was their music video launch party over at Red Circle
“2 More Hours” Music Video
There was a lot more for the band to celebrate than just the release of their music video. They also were just featured by local San Diego magazine

The List.
Monday’s Alibi also were celebrating having played their first Warped Tour. Having lost out in a competition to play Warped Tour they were taken completely by surprise when they were called to perform days later. “We totally forgot we were in an online competition to get voted in to play at Warped Tour” says front man Bernie Perez.

“Our contest profile wasn’t even completely filled out. There was one picture and no music. There were a lot of haters asking how we won on our contest page when we don’t even have music posted”
So what’s your alibi for not listening to this awesome band yet? I linked you to their Myspace profile so go take a listen!

Ra Ra Riot is uber talented. From Syracuse, New York, its a no-brainer why this energetic indie rock band has quickly gained a devoted following.
Band suffered a tragic loss of their original drummer John Pike, but pulled together and will release their full length debut album, The Rhumb Line on August 19th.
