I got an email about a new site and and the description had me curios-

That awesome, hole in the wall, genuine music lover, hang out venue that you don’t know about? Yep, it’s listed there. Amongst other things the site also has a list of all current/upcoming gigs in the area. It’s built like a social networking site so there’s plenty of opps to meet other bands and plan a show together.
