Whoa, there. Tongue twister. Translation: Sean Blak in FR*A Black on Black in his music video, “I’m Back” (first time I spotted it was around the 1:09 mark). Check it out:

For those who may not be familiar with Sean Blak, here’s a little Q&A I got to conduct with him:

Give us a little background on yourself. (Where are you from? When/how’d you get into music? etc.)
I’m from Atlanta, I’ve been rapping since i was 5, producing since 16. I moved to CA in 2003. My music career took off a year later. I put out two underground mixtapes (”Sean Blak’s Got Purple” & “When the Bad Guys Win”). Then I signed with San Jose’s Unite Records, dropping three albums (2005-2008). I’ve performed over 200 times @ 39 different venues. I’m currently producing my new project “The Evil.”

Describe your music in a paragraph or less.
I create hip hop from the point of view of someone who is intelligent but living a crazy life.
I get to work with a lot of cool people: KRS-1 , ZION-I, CALI AGENTS, THE PHARCYDE , but I work the closest with Saul Severe (guitar), Tracy Young, Chris Jaiden (vocals), Rewind, tha Hermit (engineers).

Tupac or Biggie?
Biggie’s music was more cutting edge. But 2pac has a certain timelessness to his songs, so 2pac.

How do you feel about the music industry now?
It sucks that no one sells records anymore. But it’s exciting to be at the front of the new curve.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
The STUDIO!
