For the month of July, FEEL GOOD FUSION will be paying tribute to one of the most Feel Good activities of all time…PLAYING VIDEO GAMES.

All of the ART, MUSIC, and ACTIVITIES that we will be featuring this month will be somehow related to video games!!!

As a part of the full multimedia experience, we will have a setup for everyone to play all the classic 8-bit games on the projector and watch as some GTA IV masters put on some exhibitions!! All the videogame footage will be mixed and broadcasted by our very own VJ, GREG THE DUDE.

Sparrow Love Crew (BIO from CRACKLE.com)

The Southern California Based Hip-Hop dynamo Sparrow Love Crew is renowned for their fresh beats and fiendishly fun lyrics. Oh, and for getting parties started, crowds riled and masses of lasses shakin’ it on stage. Sparrow Love Crew radiate positive energy, lyrical choreography and witty verbiage. They also own a stage like Donald Trump owns the Trump Tower.

Drawing upon an eclectic array of influences SLC blends elements of dance, ghettotech, electronica, even freestyle with their own style of high energy, soulful hip hop. SLC seeks to blend the best of the past with the hope of a future. While they push forward conventional formulas, their songs are made for end-of-the-night sing-alongs, hip-hop as it was first imagined—party-rockin’ first, ask questions later.

DJ Hideo

Throughout the years, DJ Hideo has carved a name for himself through his many accomplishments in the music industry and in the community. Aside from his various positions at 100.3 The Beat, DJ Hideo has also developed special projects locally and internationally. Recently, he has been traveling back and forth to Tokyo, Japan performing at various Nightclub Venues. He says. “It’s great to be able to bring the West Coast Party atmosphere to a country that can bearly speak our language… We communicate through Hip Hop and Turntablism…”

He has also opened for such artists as Coolio, Xzibit, Fabulous and Guerilla Black during the DUB Car Shows and SEMA events and was also honored to have opened gor W.C. from Westside Connection during their 10 day tour in Japan. DJ Hideo, a fan of the West Coast Movement, Haas also produced and hosted the West Coast Takeover Show on XM Satellite Radio and has been working with local talent in creating Mixtapes and Special show through Rehab Records in West Los Angeles.

Had a nice night at Feel Good Fusion the other Friday. Gotta say it wasn’t as packed as the last two, but i thought it had just the right amount of people (that means I didn’t have to wait an hour to get a drink). This time around I decided to step up the “interactive” level of the performance and actually draw as many heads at the event as possible. So I spent several minutes getting to know some of the attendees and taking their head shots. Then it was back to my station where I would do the drawings of the actual people attending.

Unfortunately I arrived at the event late (sorry Denkym!) so I didn’t come close to finishing the piece. If you want to see the finished piece as well as the finished Feb. piece, come to the next one! Really though, come on out. I gotta say, Feel Good Fusion is always a good time. The vibe is amazing, I can’t think of another event where so many different types of people gather to truly enjoy the arts and get down.
