    +/- (Plus Minus)

    October 28th, 2008

This Brooklyn trio has a weird band name.  I mean what the FRA is +/- ?!
Were they some sort of math geeks growing up?
Nevertheless one thing is for sure.  Their sounds are well calculated and on point.

+/- plans to conquer the world with their electronic dreamy pop meets teeth crunching rock.
And with their 8th album xs on your eyes, they are well on their way.

    Eye Alaska

    September 29th, 2008

    Eye Alaska

    Cinematic Rock.
That’s what you’ll hear when you pop in Eye Alaska’s debut album, Yellow and Elephant.

After break up of Dead Letter Diaries (band), Brandon Wronski went on to work on various soundtracks and movie scoring. Soon he realized he wanted to make music that is a soundtrack for everyone. So he reunited with his former bandmate Cameron Trowbridge, and Eye Alaska was born.

The band name “Eye Alaska” was no random choice. ” ‘Alaska’ is the Aleutian word for ‘that which the sea breaks against, says Brandon. ” ‘Eye’ means that you’re looking to those upon whom the sea breaks. It represented us as people who have dealt with trials and problems in life, as people who have felt our own oceans breaking against us.”

Check out Eye Alaska’s live performance of Roll Right Over.
