    Peter Daily at Molly Malones

    September 30th, 2008

Checked out Peter Daily at Molly Malones yesterday. It was truly refreshing to hear melodic songs with keys and clear singing in the forefront. Peter has great catchy tunes and an allstar band to compliment the music. If you like the Beatles, or if you like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, then you’ll love Peter Daily.

“Toe Jam” - feat. David Byrne and Dizzee Rascal

    September 28th, 2008

The BPA lead by Fatboy Slim features some amazing collaborations.  I got hip to the single “Toe Jam” because it features two favorites of mine: Dizzee Rascal and Mr. Byrne.  The video is directed by Keith Schofield and isn’t ashamed to have a good time.

What Do I Mean by Rockstar?

    September 7th, 2008

You know sometimes people take a look at this site and say, I thought this was FR*A - Future ROCKSTARS of America… why are there posts about rap?  Why are you talking about a movie?  What’s this about so and so painter?

Well over the years the term “Rock Star” has gone on to mean other things.  When I say “Rockstar” - I’m talking about people who have a certain quality in them… They tend to do things without considering the consequences.  They tend to be channeling genuine truths to external receptors.  Sounds pretty geeky, so here are 3 perfect clips which perfectly sum up 3 perfect examples of ROCKSTARS:

    1.  Sex Pistols

    2. Bruce Lee

    3. 2Pac

    Project 08

    September 2nd, 2008

Like I mentioned in a previous post, I’m finally getting around to my trip to Vegas.
I went for a couple of reasons: See the Magic/Project show, do some work for the agency, and lose money I don’t have over the stupid color red.

    1. On the floor at Project 08 2. the Rowdy booth… gotta say I like it

I gotta say the Magic show was super empty this time around… The usual street wear brands were around doing their thing, but was it just me or did it seem to be half the size of what it was last year?

    1. This dood is sporting the first clothing line I ever loved - T&C Surf Designs!!! 2. Ladies and gentlemen: Jon Phenom. BTW, have you guys ever seen his business card? dope.

The Project show if anything seemed to pick up for the missing numbers at Magic. I heard that Project would limit this fall’s show by 1/3rd come spring… so this may be the biggest Project show ever!

Afterward I took a gazillion pictures of the madness that followed… but of course all those pictures accidentally got erased… the prized picture being that of my meeting with Bobby Brown!!! Damn damn damn.

    Cup Titty Boom!

    September 1st, 2008

    Hello all,

I went to the last Feel Good Fusion, and as usual was exposed to some good work.

Cup Titty Boom, aside from having an amazing name, is a dope jam band. They did their live performance unrehearsed, everything was improvised. I love seeing live music improvised because you see the artist really get possessed. It’s not necessarily a “show”, rather you get to witness a spiritual takeover.

    Observe ala youtube:
